Ashley Ruiz begins her second season as the graduate assistant for the Yellowjacket softball team in 2021-22. She is working towards her master’s degree in psychology at MSUB.
Ruiz was an all-region and all-conference selection during her career at Colorado State University. As a junior in 2019 she hit .386 with 11 home runs and 41 RBIs while slugging .732. She also had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in 206 chances playing primarily first base. Ruiz began her collegiate career at the University of Kentucky.
Ruiz is a native of Aliso Viejo, California and attended Aliso Viejo High School.
