Jeff Allen

Jeff Allen, a former Yellowjacket golfer, begins his third season in charge of the Yellowjacket golf programs in 2020-21.
 
Allen was named the head golf coach at MSUB on February 25, 2019. Prior to that, he served as the associate head coach of both men's and women's programs in the fall of 2018 and overall spent three seasons as an assistant coach in the program.
 
In 2017-18, Allen assisted with both the men’s and women’s golf programs coaching them towards the GNAC Championships tournament.
 
Allen assisted on a women’s golf team in 2016-17 that finished third in the GNAC in scoring average at 317.1 strokes per round. The Yellowjackets also tied for the highest team GPA in GNAC single-season history with a 3.74. Allen assisted MSUB’s men’s team to a record-breaking single-round team score of 269 at the RMC Invite in the fall of 2016.
 
A native of Dillon, Mont., Allen was the assistant golf professional at Hilands Golf Club in Billings and held that post from 2011-19. He was named the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Assistant Professional of the Year in 2014, before becoming a Class A member of the PGA of America in February of 2015.
 
Prior to his professional career, Allen capped off his four-year career with the ‘Jackets by winning the Yellowjacket Spring Invite as a senior in 2010. At the 2009 GNAC Championships, Allen earned all-conference honors by placing fourth.
 
He was a member of MSUB’s record-holding teams for a single-round score (271 in 2008-09) and a three-round score (834 in 2008-09).
 
Allen is married to former Yellowjacket women’s golf and women’s basketball standout Kalli (Stanhope) Allen.
