Brandon Hammack

Brandon Hammack is in his second year on the Montana State University Billings staff as an assistant track and field coach for the 2018-19 season.
 
In his first year as an assistant, Hammack helped coach All-Americans Beau Ackerman (javelin) and Jorey Egeland (steeple chase), during a record-breaking year for the track and field team.
 
Hammack joined the Yellowjackets after spending 2016-17 as the head athletic trainer for Provisio West High School in Chicago, Ill. His primary focus is on sprints and jumps while working with all of MSUB’s track and field athletes.
 
Hammack studied athletic training at Northwesten College where he competed in both track and soccer. On the track team he set school records in the 60-meter indoor, 200-meter and 4x100-meter relays, and finished with a top-10 time in every event he competed in. He was named a captain his final two seasons with the Raiders while earning 23 combined all-conference honors in indoor and outdoor competition. He began coaching after a season-ending injury during his senior season in Orange City, Iowa.
 
After earning his bachelor’s degree, Hammack continued his education at Southwest Minnesota State University where he completed his master’s degree in physical education: coaching of sport. He joined the Mustangs’ track and field team as a graduate assistant where he coached sprints and jumps.
