Casey Williams

Casey Williams, a Billings native, begins her ninth season as the head volleyball coach for the Yellowjackets in the 2024-25 academic year.
 
The Yellowjackets started their season 2-1 and later picked up a home win over Western Washigton which was the first time the 'Jackets have downed the Vikings in nine years. MSUB finished their 2023 season with a 3-25 overall and a 1-17 GNAC record. Christine Funk earned Honorable Mention All-GNAC recognition in her junior campaign. 

In 2022, the Jackets started 6-1 on the year and finished their campaign 7-20 placing them 10th in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Paiten Langston and Caty Havecost earned all-conference recognition for the Yellowjackets.

The Yellowjackets went 12-16 overall in 2021 and finished 7-11 in conference play to take seventh place. Bayli Monck was a first-team all-conference selection in her senior season.
 
Although the 2020 volleyball season was canceled due to the corornavirus pandemic, the Yellowjackets finished 5-1 – including a perfect record in five-set matches – in a slew of exhibition games in spring 2021.
 
During the 2019 season, the Yellowjackets finished ninth in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with a 5-15 record, 8-22 overall.

In her first three seasons as head coach, the Yellowjackets went 29-61 overall and 17-43 in GNAC play. In the fall of 2018, Williams led MSUB to an eighth-place finish in the GNAC standings, and the team’s record of 12-18 was its best since the 2014 campaign.
 
Most recently serving as the head coach at Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas, Williams led the Plainsmen to a 36-6 overall record in 2015 and a National Junior College Athletic Association regional championship in her second season in charge. She was selected as the 2015 Western Junior College Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, after leading FPC to the regular season and conference tournament titles.
 
Williams previously served as the head volleyball coach at Southern Academy High School (Alabama), after earning a bachelor's degree from the University of West Alabama in 2012. She was the 2013 Alabama Independent School Association Coach of the Year after leading her prep team to a third place finish in the state tournament.
 
Williams attended Skyview High School in Billings, and competed in volleyball at Spokane Falls Community College for two seasons before transferring to West Alabama to finish her collegiate career.

Williams resides in Billings, MT with her husband, Andrew Bonner (Associate Athletic Director at MSUB), and her son Harlo.
